Pieces of Me

Do not measure me by the roles I play.
Lawyer, writer, daughter, wife, mother—
None define my worth.
I am neither one nor the other.

I am a piece of a greater puzzle,
Designed by the One
Who gave my life its purpose and birth.

Look beyond the stereotypes.
Do not judge me by what I bring.
I want none of your labels,
None of your preconceived things.

Instead, value the kindness, the love, and the care I strive to spread—
Only then will you see,
The real me.
The person I was always meant to be.
