The Lighthouse Within

A ship without its captain, drifting far out to sea,
Waiting for an anchor to rescue me.
Without a compass, no course to chart,
Floundering aimlessly with a hollow heart.

Caught up in a whirlpool of sadness,
Allowing pity to draw me further into the darkness.
How long must I roam,
Before a beacon of light guides me home?

Yet deep within, faith still burns,
A silent whisper, urging me to return.
For in the silence, the stillness, I find,
The strength to still the storm in my mind.

The anchor I seek, not out in the deep,
But within, where the soul’s truths keep.
Through tides of doubt, through waves of despair,
The light within will always be there.
